Products we built and run ourselves, and open-source work anyone can read. Everything here is public, so you can open it and judge the work for yourself.

Inventyl

Camera-first inventory for small business

Inventyl is inventory software for small retail and wholesale. The camera does the work: scan barcodes to take stock, photograph a supplier invoice to restock, print labels from a drag-and-drop designer.

It is offline-first. Stock counts keep working without a connection and sync when it returns, and the recognition of invoices and barcodes runs in the browser, so the photos never leave the device.

Designed, built and operated by Crossthread: product, interface, API, billing and infrastructure.

PasturePath

Farm management and a local marketplace

PasturePath combines two things small farms usually run separately: the records of what is growing where, and the shop window that sells it. Fields, crops, harvests and livestock on one side; a local marketplace where nearby customers buy direct on the other.

Designed, built and operated by Crossthread: web app, API, database and hosting.

OpenBLUP

A statistics engine for plant and animal breeding

OpenBLUP estimates variance components and predicts breeding values (REML and BLUP), work that has long depended on closed, licensed software. It is written in Rust around sparse matrix methods, and released under the Apache 2.0 licence.

The same engine is available four ways: a Rust library, a Python package, a command-line tool, and OpenBLUP Studio, a web app that compiles the engine to WebAssembly so models are fitted in the browser and the data never leaves the machine.

A fork-safety fix for tt-metal

Contribution to an AI hardware framework

tt-metal is Tenstorrent's open-source framework for running models on their AI accelerators. A bounty issue described a hang: a Python program that forked worker processes could not open a device from a child. We traced the cause to singleton state and locks inherited across fork(), and submitted a fix built on pthread_atfork.
